I should have reminded you!

Doesn't worry me for a few months, but I do have some booked and some possible departures from MEL which I may switch airlines or routing if I can't get the full lounge benefits from QF.

I asked one of the First hosts and got this reply so hopefully tomorrow will get more info LOL

With the changes to the 9 coming about on Saturday can you conform the lounge opening tomes along with the First check in suite.

What will be the opening times of the Spa now with these changes?

. I believe check in for QF 9 will open up 3 hours before departure and the day spa will be open in the afternoon to accommodate passengers.

The lounge will be open all day, until QF151 boards at 2300.

Just got this email from the Spa Manager.

The new times in spa one are correct

We will open til 4 next week

And re open for the Qf 95 in the evening in the days it operates

Then we change again from 1st April

Then
6-9

Thanks for that info, it's great news. So at least I'll be able to have dinner before JL774 leaves at 00:05...and then maybe proceed to the J dungeon when the F lounge closes (haven't been there in 6 years...).

So those on NZ flights have no chance of a massage as the spa is closed. that's pretty disappointing.

Agree - very disappointing. But it has generally matched F service times on QF metal. I wonder if they will allow P1s to pre-book given there will be no F pax in the evenings.

Disappointing, yes, but several free massages a year for regular discount Y passengers to NZ is not QF’s purpose in having the spa.

So QF have updated the opening hours of the MEL F lounge on the website. It now closes at 22:45.

LOL typical I see they say ~ Operating hours for the Melbourne Spa are 08:00 to 11:30 and 20:00 to 23:30 daily.

Where as info direct from the horses mouth so to speak is

7am-3pm
Then
6pm-9pm

That is still showing the old opening times not the new ones as per my earlier response.

And I can confirm with experience that the spa is open for the QF9 to Perth (flew it a week ago). It was retimed to work with the 9 and because of the change also works for both or at least one of the flights to SIN (if you go that way to LHR)
