I was waiting for a sharp-eyed member to draw attention to a comment by Martin Daley, Group Executive Guest Services, reported on page 23 of The Australian today...."The Sydney Lounge will be serviced by Virgin's premium kerbside entrance and kerbside valey service. Mr Daley said Virgin was eyeing a similar entrance in Brisbane". I guess AFFers didn't bother because it was reported by NoNews ;)

CrazyDave, I had a bet going about how long it would take for someone to pick up on that.... bet becomes null and void now i suppose... :D

Actually, i saw that last night and was tempted to post it but you can't expect us to do ALL your work for you :)

I had assumed it would be an option once i saw that the direct entry in Sydney was announced - i've often looked out the window of the old BNE lounge there and seen the driveway below and thought that it wouldn't be that hard to whack in an entrance.

Don't mind me. Just talk amongst yourselves.

Actually we're not here so feel free to talk in detail about all the hush hush changes coming our way.

My understanding (a more [ahem] senior member might like to correct/confirm) is that the circular driveway used to be Ansett's valet parking.

Nice... Definately the right move for your 'home' town

Shouldnt it be new Brisbane lounge entrance based on the quote or is there going to be a new lounge?

I would think if you can get the brisbane airport experience up to the standard you've set with the SYD and MEL lounges, you should pull some of the BNE-based customers across.

Perhaps also some local marketing as "Brisbane-based" might not go astray - QF tends not to show the love to anywhere except SYD (and occasionally MEL). Their BNE international lounge is a joke, the domestic QP and J lounge barely better. As for the BNE International "F" lounge, well, why do they bother?

+1 to discuss all the future plans in this thread. We wont tell. :D

It was actually tweeted to me this morning!

I'm a huge fan of the Premium Entry facility in SYD. Given BNE is my home port and the old Ansett valet parking turnaround is below, the prospect of a similar dedicated entry point in BNE is very exciting! :)

With only 88% power on your phone Liam, feel free to pop it on one of our Duracell myGrid charge mats located in communal Lounge areas. :)

A charge mat sounds better than the qantas equivalent charge system. Nice addition.

I was thinking I'd get a cheeky response from you, you may be a new brand, but that cheeky sense of humor is sticking around. :D

Your more than welcome to fly me down to the MEL lounge now if you wish. I'll pay for the taxi to the airport. ;)

Well as long as we continue to get the work done!

There is alot more detailed information that we have to get out, so will share that as soon as possible.

Sorry, but you'll have to pay your own way there!

Hey guys......I mentioned some time ago that a premium entrance would work well in BNE. You must have listened, hey? Does that put me on a consultants retainer :p?

I also mentioned it's possible at OOL as well.........huh, huh, how 'bout it .

I may now have to start paying for those new beaut flexi rates to get my gold!

Yes please! I'd do anything for that, I'm sick of being behind people who have never flown before at security.

A private entrance to the lounge would work, but I don't expect it, OOL isn't big enough.

While we're at it with the unreasonable requests, i want a lounge in NTL -- or at least my own corner of departure area behind a curtain with a bar fridge that only I have the pin number to.

not that i'm a "more senior staffer" ;) but yes, that was Ansett's valet parking drop-off.
