I have 680 status credit's and my status expires at the end of this month, I've already got the 10 SC from BP.I have called QFF team to see if they would bump me up to gold but told they would not. Is there any other way I can get 20 SC in a few days.? TIA

Have you received an email from Qantas extending your status for an additional year? Check your email and/or you QFF profile to determine exactly when your status expires.

Yes I'm currently silver and they have extended it for another year. My status expires on April 29th.

Well a BP rewards sign up would give you 10, but really you'd have to fly in the next few days on well.. very limited flights. Prepared to make that effort/risk? if so then yes you need to fly somewhere, on cheapest fare return should get 20. Options obviously limited and all the other issues involved there (MEL-SYD-MEL or v.v. would make sense as there's no border issues, or SYD-CBR-SYD or something). Assuming you can find a seat it wouldn't be cheap.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Where are you based? As @RichardMEL suggests, is it possible for you to do a return flight within your state (or to CBR if based in SYD)? Be prepared to justify why you're taking the trip, however.

The only other way to earn status credits (without flying) would be through BP. You get 10 for signing up and can get up to 40 more for buying fuel/spending money at BP. But you would need to buy a LOT of fuel (or spend a heap of money instore) by Thursday to get the 20 SCs. I'm also unsure whether those status credits post instantly or if they would count towards next month's SCs.

Honestly, I'm surprised and disappointed that Qantas would not gift you the extra 20 status credits required, given the circumstances. At a time when we're being told to stay home unless essential, are they really expecting you to have to take a flight to earn a status level that you were probably on track to earn anyway before these issues began? For the sake of 20 status credits, that's a great way to p** off a loyal customer. If you were in the same situation with Velocity, VA would have bumped you up.

Stand at your local BP and give $5 to anyone who'll scan your rewards card when buying fuel. Once "you" have filled up 2000L you'll be due 20SC 🙃

And this trick would probably flag misuse of the program in the system and could render consequences far worse than not getting the SC’s.

I realise OP membership anniversary is passed, yet, I was wondering if buying some BP gift card would be a way to get those SC:

BP offers gift cards
1000$ spend -> 1000 points -> 10sc
Buying 1000$ of BP gift card = 10sc?

Maybe this can help those that need 10 or 20 sc and are confident they can use those cards later?
I didn't check carefully the T&Cs, so please check first if you decide to go down that road.

Unfortunately gift cards of all types are excluded from the T&C for earning BP Rewards points.

Points are only earned on purchases of Eligible Product. Eligible Products include:

(a) our range of fuel and diesel products at the pump: BP Ultimate 98, Unleaded, Premium Unleaded 95, Regular Diesel, Ultimate Diesel, Autogas, E10, Opal, Ad Blue from Pump; and

(b) most items sold through the shop at BP Rewards Service Stations.

However, some products and services are not Eligible Products, and you will not earn Points for purchasing them.
These items are:

- smoking/tobacco products and accessories;
- gift cards (including iTunes and fuel vouchers);
- Pre-paid mobile telephones, mobile recharge and pre-paid mobile phone cards;
- lottery products;
- tolls, travel cards and public transport tickets or cards;
- cash outs;
- delivery charges;
- internet cafes;
- Australia Post or other parcel locker services;
- any “click and collect” or "home delivery" services provided for products supplied from a BP service station;
- any money transfer services;
- any other item not sold or paid for through the main point of sale transaction terminal at the BP Rewards Service Station (including coin operated carwashes or vacuum cleaners and any associated workshops);
- purchases from any third-party businesses operating within the BP Rewards Service Station; and
- items purchased with the BP Plus App.

We may vary the list of what is included or excluded as Eligible Products from time to time and, if we do, we will update these terms and conditions. An up to date full list of products and services that are not Eligible Products can be found in the BP Rewards FAQs.

Ohhh thanks for catching that @sudoer
I am wondering why fuel vouchers are excluded.

I would assume because they are effectively a method of payment, and you would earn points when you redeem the voucher for fuel on that transaction.
