Music and Supper in Melbourne on a Wednesday

Good evening folks!

A great friend and I are rolling into Melbourne tomorrow night at about 2230, it's 1/4 status run, 1/4 mattress run and 1/2 of an awesome chance to catch up.

We were hoping hoping to catch some live music and a bite to eat once in town, any recommendations? We'll be staying at the IC and both armed with a MYKI. Any genre of music is ok, even an open mic is good!

Different than what we expected but great! Delays meant that we did to arrive MEL until 2335, it was 0030 by the tune we had checked in.

We had every intention of heading to the supper inn but decided to call it a night and got up early this morn to explore. Fortunately the delays weren't too bad as I hadn't seen my friend for a few months and we had plenty to talk about over some refreshing beers and cider.

Given the bad rap the IC Mel gets I was surprised that we got a 1600 checkout, voucher for 2 glasses of wine, fruit platter and a choice of $30 off the rate or free breakfast.

I think we're eyeing off AKL for the next lads overnight soirée
