While using the AFF app on an iPhone, does anyone else frequently get a pop-up from secure DOT mobieblitz DOT com about having won an iPhone 6s? Depending on how I choose to exit, I either end up in Safari (which immediately gets closed again!), or back to the AFF app........

Had this pop up re winning an iPhone appear on my iPhone today. This has never happened before. You have two options. Click on Done, in this case nothing happens. Click on OK and I am not prepared to click on that saying they have reached my iPhone. Only way I can move on is to close out of app and go back in again, but pop up has appeared again and again.
Currently not seeing it but......

That's the one - i did a bit of googling but most answers referred to PC or Mac issues (from the same mobieblitz address). I cleared my browser history in Safari on the iPhone and also downloaded AdGuard from the App Store. Not sure which of them helped (if either, given that you've stopped seeing it too), but I've been pop-up free for the last 15 minutes.....

OK - this has escalated significantly. I am now seeing a pop-up every 30 seconds or so while using the AFF app on my iPhone, variously from:

secure DOT mobieblitz DOT com
offers DOT potatories DOT com
offers DOT fadock DOT com

The only options are to exit the app or to tap on the "OK" button. Whichever pop-up has appeared, pressing "OK" always takes me to the same "Google Membership Rewards" page where I have the exciting opportunity to win an iPhone by correctly answering 4 questions. Needless to say, I don't proceed but can only get out of the page by clicking on "Done", which takes me back to the AFF app page that I was viewing when the initial pop-up appeared.

I've tried various things but nothing seems to work, and the pop-ups are now making the app so irritating that it's basically unusable. Anyone got any ideas?

Haven't noticed anything myself yet.

Edit to add, I've tried using the app logged-in (no ads visible as I'm paid up) and logged-out (I see ads – though not the ones in question – but can't post).

iPhone 6 here too, but on Vodaphone, so it's not carrier-specific.......

Thank you for following up on this.

It's not an ad, though (assuming you mean the banners at the top and bottom of the app (e.g. currently saying "Travel Better....for much, much less")). I'll be merrily using the app when the screen will suddenly go grey and show one of the variations of the white "pop-up" as screengrabbed above. I then have no choice but to clink on "OK" as described earlier.....

It seems to be somewhat intermittent - this morning was a nightmare (hence the slightly disgruntled post) but the app is now behaving itself again. I can't think of anything obvious that I've done that might cause the change; all of the experimentation was this morning and didn't solve the problem, since when my phone has been sat on the table.......

And just to confirm, you're not jailbroken?

Are you a Silver/Gold member (eg. able to post from the app)? Or do you just use the app to browse/read on the iPhone? I'm trying to work out if it's a logged-in thing or not. Obviously, I don't see ads so I need to be able to recreate the issue. :)

I have never made it to jail .. so not really broken to it ...

I'm not a member either( no tax advantage) and use the app rarely, just connected a mo ago and it's clear atm

Maybe 'twas just a passing raid by a pirate.

addendum .. just realised that it probably used wi fi to connect just now so my contribution is probably irrelevant… sorry ...

I've had this problem with my Samsung S7. It seems to pop-up with certain websites on my mobile, particularly cricinfo dot com.

It happens with different browers too - chrome, and the preinstalled internet brower.

Tried checking it with various ad/anti virus software but none of it has picked anything up.

It makes me wonder if some of those websites have been compromised.

Not jailbroken, and just using the app to browse..... Having said all of that, it's been behaving itself so far today, both on home wi-fi and on the Vodaphone 4G network.

Weird behaviour by the app this morning. The pop-ups were appearing every 30 seconds while connecting via the Vodaphone 4G network. Switching to my home Wi-Fi connection stopped the pop-ups. I then switched the Wi-Fi connection off again (hence back to the Vodaphone 4G network) and the pop-ups re-started. I was able to repeat this behaviour a couple of times.

I ONLY see the pop-ups when using the AFF app, but can't figure out why switching to / from Wi-Fi should control whether they appear

Anyone got any ideas?
