Went as a family to Lombok in January
Flew SYD-BNE-DPS on Elevate via VA website
SYD-BNE credited fine but all 7 flights for BNE-DPS have credited as 0 SC 0 points
Called up- apparently a 'known issue'. Took all the VFF details. Said can take 6-8 weeks.
Is this really common?
And why so long to rectify?

[also with family pooling those flights would tip me to WP. Not a big problem as no travel due for a bit but would be a nuisance to miss Row 3 seat if I had]

Try the online form as well. Sometimes it seems to work faster than calling (but have had to call when the online form gave me an error).

It seems like VA have had a huge number of issues in the area of points crediting lately.

Similar issue here. I cannot even see any claim records online now. Sent them an email with boarding pass. They replied it could take 4-6 weeks...

I can kind of understand a few weeks' delay when dealing with a partner airline. However I struggle with own flights that they have acknowledged we flew

We booked same flight path Dec/Jan and have had exact same problem. Kept being told would be manually adjusted manually and wait 24-48 hours. 5 phone calls later over 3 weeks and finally got SC for BNE-DPS return legs, but points are not right and eligible sector count has not registered for flights either. Shouldn’t be this hard.

Called up to chase this as still not credited.
All flights manually adjusted with points, SCs and segments all now posted.
Not clear why couldn't have been done in the first place but relatively easy today

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

A little twist in the tail.
The SYD-BNE credited as 15SC i.e Elevate (which I'm pretty sure was the class I paid for)
The BNE-DPS have been credited as Getaway 30SC
Nothing on the ticket or receipt to say whether Elevate or Getaway (only Economy)
Booking class is N which on the ticket T&Cs says could be either class
However on the website N only appears as a Getaway fare for International short-haul. Premium line therefore say should be Getaway
Its not a big deal for me as the SCs would be surplus anyway but might indicate a potential catch if booking an Elevate International SH fare

Domestic flights flown as part of a International Short Haul journey (purchased from 1 August 2018 for travel on or after 28 October 2018) will earn at the same rate as domestic standalone journeys:
Earn Tables
So your SYD-BNE in N class will earn at the Elevate rate and BNE-DPS in N class will earn at the Getaway rate.
