After months of anticipation, our big trip is almost upon us. While it won't be the little Miss' first flight, it will be her first time in First class. She's already knocked over two trips, including one across the ditch.

We originally planned to book EK to Chicago but availability dried up a few months prior to us booking. Availability for QF7 and QF94 was wide open which I hadn't seen before so we were able to book both flights in the one booking. Once the Little Miss arrived we just added her and paid the extra taxes (around $35 IIRC).

It's hard to find reviews of infants traveling in QF First, so hopefully this helps anyone else looking to do the same thing. Our trip looks a little like this:

Drat, I thought this was going to be about an actual Tomcat flight...

Good luck with the trip!

Has TC started packing yet? Good luck - I think you're wonderful to be doing that travel with one so young. Some people I know won't even go out to dinner because it will upset their routine. Happy travelling.

It wasn’t a matter of upsetting our first child’s routine but everyone else!

Will be looking for tips on what works and what, um, might not.

The Miss and I have started packing

We’re keen to get on with life as usual, as much as possible. Life doesn’t stop because you have a baby, it just changes a little. She goes to bed relatively late anyway which makes it easier.

We’ve had the joy of Little Miss’s company for the weekend of her inaugural Flights. Her parents were well organised and unflappable. They have a routine with shared responsibilities that just ‘works’.

This cheery little cherub will thrive as a Junior AFFer.

Such a beautiful baby.

Not another baby bawling and screaming through entire trip and depriving this oh so important F class pax of their entitled silent enjoyable journey?

If that kid is anything like mum or dad she will be annoying the cough out of all other pax in F cabin!!!

*Before any of you go off the deep end that is total sarcasm from Uncle Cruizy Doozy (that’s the pet name the kid has for me :D)

Sorry, should have made it more clear :p

Glad it’s days and not hours as I’ve been battling a cold and no voice. Ever tried settling a Baby when you can’t talk?

Wow, really loving this trip! QF7 is long and tiring, but if you're in F you won't feel it :)
Looking forward to the trip report/s!

Miss TC is now recovering from a cold herself but should be good to go sunday. I'm 80% packed, TV is still at 0....

Just need to ship the animals off, enjoy my belated pedicure (I was originally booked in for one the day Miss TC arrived) and get on out of here.
