Just wondering if anyone knows why the Milan route on Singapore Air is coming up the last couple of days as no available seats or flights. Something is strange as schedules show flights and I can get flights available to Barcelona which actually include the Milan leg but cannot get any flights direct to Milan. Multiple dates this year and next year same problem.

I don't know the answer to this, but I wouldn't try hidden city ticketing to BCN, hoping to hop off in MXP (even with carry-on only). I flew through to BCN 3 weeks ago, staff were very diligent in ensuring the correct passengers disembarked. Those travelling through to BCN don't leave the aircraft, they sit there whilst there is a crew change and aircraft cleaning.

Just call and ask.
As there is no longer a 15% discount to book online there is no reason not do do it by phone. Plus the CSR can advise on question re availability etc.
Barcelona is no guide at all as each route is different with different allocations. Though lack of availability on the first leg to SIN can wipe out various European options.
PS: I booked 2 J to Milan 2 weeks back for return next July 2018. When I was testing in the lead up some days were snapped up before I could do a dummy booking and after days were ok.
Ditto for Rome that I was also checking out. Peak tourist season and so availability often goes at max time out on many dates.

It may be that there's just no seats available to MXP for those dates, but there are seats available through to BCN.
