A plane carrying at least 140 people has crashed into a river in Jacksonville, Florida.
The Boeing 737 was arriving from Guantanamo Bay when it skidded off the runway into the St John River.
Fire and emergency crews rushed to the scene, with Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry confirming everyone has been accounted for and that there are no deaths.

Looks like Miami Air is a charter airline which operates tour and corporate flights, with a fleet of 6 B737-800.

That’ll be great news for anyone re-booked from Air Fiji to the Miami Air charter plane. Just saw standing at the gate in AKL last week and was wondering what strange airline that was

Fiji Airways have leased 1 Miami Air 737-800 I think it is, for a short period until their b737 max 8s are flying again.

Meanwhile, posted in another thread, Fiji Airways(company & former trading name Air Pacific) have just announced they are leasing 2 brand new A350s to take over most of NAN/LAX/NAN flights & the daily A330 SYD/NAN/SYD from 1JAN. The A350s will have 61 more seats than their A332s & 21 more seats than their A333, which means roughly 380-400 seats a week extra on daily SYD/LAX/SYD services at least in busy month of January.

Yep- looking strikingly similar to the one shown in that river here

Great news about the A350s though!
