MH increases ML and PER services

Malaysia Airlines in Northern Winter 2013/14 season is increasing operations to Melbourne and Perth. Planned operation as follow. Kuala Lumpur – Melbourne 21NOV13 – 26JAN14 Planned service increase from 14 to 16 weekly, however new flights are not available for reservation at present time

MAS adds a 3rd daily flight to MEL twice a week

Malaysia Airlines is increasing flights to MEL. There will be a 3rd daily flight to KUL twice a week on Fridays and Sundays using the B772. MH146 will depart MEL at 1000, arriving into KUL at 1500. MH147 will depart KUL at 2000, arriving into MEL at 0645 on Thursdays and Saturdays.

They are also increasing the frequency of their flights between BKI and PER (using a B738) to twice a week.

This is probably in response to the new bilateral agreement between Malaysia and Australia that was updated on 19th July.

QF already have the codeshare between MEL-KUL on flight EK409 / QF8409
However, (personally) I'd love a QF codeshare on either MH146 or MH122 (from SYD). Much more civilised departure times.

A bit off topic but MH related.

Checking prices to return from CMB to Australia, MH wants more $$ to fly CMB-KUL-PER than CMB-KUL-SYD.

Am I seeing QF influences on MH management? :shock:
