According to most members BNE is nothing to rave about, but was refused entry as I have put my QF NB number on the booking instead of the CX Diamond. The dragon was very rude about it too. However, service was very attentive at the QP. I couldn't find any terms and condition about you need to have the correct membership on the boarding pass on terms and conditions.

did you have your MPC DM card available to wave in her face? if so she should have allowed access I believe...

For correct billing to the other carrier, needs to be matched to the FF program AFAIK.

Or if she was that fussy I would have made them change the FF number to CX re-print boarding pass, scan BP for entry, then change FF number back to QF and re-print BP again. They can't really refuse to do that, a simple service request. Otherwise make a complaint as that is not very good service.

Yup, presented my card with my boarding pass. She just pointed to the business lounge entry. When I questioned her and show her the card again she said I am only Bronze QC on my boarding pass.

I would have if I didn't have to rush in and finish some work before I fly.

unacceptable, i would definetely lodge a complaint. it's her problem to get the billing/data entry done not yours and certainly no justification to deny your OW entitlements.

Of course nothing stops you from changing your FF number after leaving - or if you get a pleasant lounge dragon - even before leaving the said lounge. I certainly did this weekend in HKG, changed to my BA gold (OWE) to MH nothing once entering the first lounge.

Just to be clear, are you a QC member?
If not, then her logic was also flawed.

that's the lounge staff members problem - the card should be more than enough proof. CX can manage to do it - I have my QF status in my booking everytime then I get the check in staff to change it to MPC at checkin and still issue the F lounge invite under OWE.

I haven't flown out of the Int terminal in quite some time, but always found the staff there (in the past) to be some of the rudest. Not sure why.

It's worth noting, sometimes they simply close the box as they don't have many using it, so perhaps it hadn't been opened and they weren't going to unless more traffic arrived.

correct membership on the boarding pass on terms and conditions.

Also her logic is flawed based on the fact that QF FF# doesn't display on JQi BP either, so does that mean she denies every QF WP flying on Jetstar access because their FF# number isn't on their BP!!

I think a call to MPC and QF is the way to go. There is nothing in the terms and conditions that says number needs to be on the BP. There are plenty of FFers who don't put any number in their flight details and sort it out afterwards. Completely unacceptable.

My QFF number shows on JQi BPs.

But does your status show?

I have looked at a few of my previous JQ BP's (from Oct 2012) and it just says QFFP, which means I've entered a QF FF number, but no mention of the number or status which is expected.

You didn't miss much.....the place is depressing IMHO.

Definitely uncool and incorrect!

I accessed the MEL and SYD F lounges as a CX Diamond some years ago when flying QF, with QF number on the BP. Lady at MEL wasn't sure, proffered BP and CX card to her on-the-phone colleague who simply nodded. At SYD the chap 'guarding' the bottom of the escalator initially just glanced at the BP (I had proffered the CX card as well) and pointed me to the J lounge (I was QC Bronze as well), but when I showed the CX card again he immediately apologised and admitted me.

Feedback to QF (and maybe CX) required.

I am flying J and also a QC member. I think because I am off for a holiday and not dressed appropriately with a 14 months old made a difference. It is not the refusable, but the way it was done that is unacceptable. I showed my card, and just pointed towards the Business Lounge door, only when I press for it she said I am not allowed because I have my QF on the boarding pass.

Will feed back to both. In contrast we had an amazing experience with the crew on route to Singapore - all of them are so helpful with the little one. Don't mind the skybeds either. If the room is not opened, they just have to let me know, and I would have understood the situation.

Maybe, maybe not. I was dressed in jeans and t-shirt for the 10pm-ish flight to HKG and they opened the "F" lounge for me and I was the only one in there. Even brought me a plate of food once I was inside and offered for me to take any magazines I wanted with me because they were about to be replaced.
