I been looking to book Sydney to KL using QFF points on Malaysian Airlines.

But no matter how farout I look, I cannot find any Malaysian Airlines flight, meaning the options available are to fly to KL xSingapore using points.

Are Malaysian Airlines flight bookable on Qantas FF using points?

How are you looking, not all options are online, MH is via the call centre.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I successfully booked a week ago - but you must ring call centre. Not sure what class you want but J availability was good

How does one know a certain carrier is call centre booking only?

Is there a reason you can't book Malaysia online whereas other Oneworlds (eg. Cathay) is okay online?

The Qanats system only allows some carriers to be booked, in fact cathay is relatively new, Mh use their own in house system that does not talk to QF.

The Qantas web site tells you.

For MH the page says: "You can use your points on Malaysia Airlines for a:
Qantas & Partner Classic Award
oneworld® Classic Award.
Call Award flight reservations to make a Qantas & Partner Classic Award booking. An Award Assistance Fee applies for Award bookings made or completed worldwide via a consultant."

For CX there is a "Book an Award flight" button for you to book online.
