Major Thai Schedule Changes for Perth and Brisbane Oct 16-March 17

Flights on Tuesday Thursday and Saturday have major time changes. As per airlineroute

Thai Airways International in this week’s schedule update has adjusted planned operation for Bangkok – Brisbane and Bangkok – Perth route, during Northern winter 2016/17 season. From 30OCT16 to 25MAR17, selected flights will see departure time shift to morning departure from Bangkok. Departure time from Brisbane and Perth will move to late-night and afternoon hours, respectively.

Revised operational schedule for both routes as follow.

Bangkok – Brisbane
TG473 BKK0001 – 1205BNE 787 x246
TG477 BKK0900 – 2105BNE 787 246

TG474 BNE1400 – 2010BKK 787 x246
TG478 BNE2340 – 0550+1BKK 787 246

Bangkok – Perth
TG483 BKK0001 – 0755PER 787 246
TG481 BKK0720 – 1515PER 787 x246

TG484 PER0915 – 1510BKK 787 246
TG482 PER1630 – 2225BKK 787 x246

I have two award tickets with Life miles that will now need to be changed as flights no longer work or misconnect. This will be fun

I have some awards that are similar, but it's all part of the LM game. Thai are known for this, and it is 50% likely to just revert anyway

Regardless, now I need a night in BKK. Anyone have thoughts on if Thai will cough anything up towards it?

Are you going to try and ring them? Also whether LM will make us pay the cancellation fee if flight changes make bookings untenable

material schedule changes allow you to cancel free of charge.

Just an update checkin for TG 474 yesterday's flight and spoke to duty manager. Original plan was extra flight but that got canned and schedule chnage stuck for certain days. Manager thought that Thai would not chnage their mind, they have sorted staff rosters etc.

I am guessing these changed ones make for better connections with Thais European flights?
