Maintaining VFF Gold

I'm a VFF Gold, based in Sydney who is sitting on 210 SC and would like to maintain this, though am up for renewal in September. I haven't done as much international travel this year but will likely do so next year so would like to have lounge access etc

Curious as to suggestions about whether it is worthwhile maintaining VFF Gold and any cost-effective ideas on ways to do this i.e. return business class flights etc?

Weekend shopping trip to HKG on VS in Premium Y earns 180 SCs and often can be had for around $1700 booked direct with Virgin Atlantic.
Otherwise a bunch of domestic flight at $6-7/SC is about best you can do.

Only you can determine if this is good value.
