Qantas Frequent Flyer

Received a newsletter, receive 1 QFF point per $1 spent on Luxury Escapes holidays!

Haven't yet booked an escape through them, but have heard really good things and is on the list for the next 12 months. This just gives that little added bonus :D:D

would have been nice a wee while ago, having just returned from a "Luxury Escapes" stay in Lombok. :-(

A good trip? For some reason I keep looking at some of the deals and think they're 'too good to be true' (ie. there's some hidden T&C).

I / we have done a few, and they have all been fine. there is definitely a saving, and a few of the additional extras sweeten the deal a bit more.

There is a thread on here somewhere about them. There is no real trap but do the research on the place eg location etc before booking. We’ve used them a lot of times with great success.

We have done two, both in Australia, Southern Ocean Lodge on Kangaroo Island, and a hotel in Hobart. There were no problems and we got exactly what was specified in the deal. We will definitely use them again.

Awesome to hear.

Well I guess this deal with QFF provides a little added benefit to the deals then (unless they start to increase in price because of the partnership, can't see why though).

Maldives coming up in April.
Points would have been nice, but we’ll make do

Thanks to other AFF members, I signed up my qantas membership free one month ago. I hope this link would help new AFFers.

Don’t forget AMEX statement offer “luxury escape 300-100 dollar”.

Most definitely. I have friends who rave about LE. They convinced me to investigate further.

Looking into Bali options, for example, quick checks on one Hotel's website revealed renovations during the dates we were looking at and for another resort, many many comments on Tripadvisor regarding Chinese daytrippers were enough to sway me away. Needless to say these sorts of things don't appear in the LE descriptions.

I note your excellent TR on the Ritz in Bali, which is where I ended up choosing. Having a separate menu for LE customers may make some feel like a second class citizen but being a white, heterosexual, male of middle age, I'm perfectly used to that.

When we went, because of the volcano issues, I think only the ‘locked in’ (by virtue of pre payment) Luxury Escapes people were there. Everywhere we looked people had them, and I don’t think I ever saw the other one.

We booked just days before the QFF points came in, but would have missed our deal had we known/waited for the QF points. First booking, really looking forward to it. Did my research on the hotel including the prices to make sure it was a legit deal. And got the Amex credit.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
