Can I get any luggage tags if I am a QFF Bronze and VA Red Frequent Flyer? And how do I go about getting the AFF Bag Tags I saw a thread on it!

Hi Dannee, yes they work for everyone.

Velocity doesn't use electronic tags, the first baggage tags you'll receive are plastic, and that is when you hit silver.

I'm not sure about the AFF tags.

The Q tags will work no matter what your status is.

Also note that the colour of the Q tags is meaningless. For example, you will not get priority baggage if you add a platinum tag to your luggage as a bronze member.

Similarly, a platinum member will still get priority baggage if they were to add a silver/bronze q tag to their luggage.

2 for $49.95 is the discounted rate! - they were $49.95 each until recently (and still are at some other retail places).

Why do you want them so badly? If you are flying enough to warrant them you will get them for free once you reach status (unless they are a gift?).

For AFF tags you could try PMing munitalP. I think they were about $5 each.

Why do you want them so badly?

Some people just like to collect luggage tags. That is reason enough, no?

I tend to think the Q tags are handy even for the occasional flyer. No need to mess around with the paper ones.

Regarding the AFF tags I believe that last ones were distributed a few months back. I'm not sure if there is any plans to make more.

The membership cards and bag tags have different purposes.

The cards are to help with NGCI (next generation check in) and generating a boarding pass at the gate. It is linked to your frequent flyer number.

The bag tag is an RFID device that is only linked to the trip PNR (and hence your FF no.) when the tag is scanned at check in. That is why it does not matter what colour tag a pax uses regardless of status.

Edit: QC and PS/SG/WP cards definitely have the Q-chip. I am not sure about NB as I haven't had one of those for years!

NB don't have the chip (just checked my partner's replacement card haha)... though NB+QP do get the chip
