Tried to update wiki but would not let me.
The complexities of Wiki editing are beyond my capabilities.
As explained in the opening paragraph of every wiki entry through a
thread on the subject of editing them, when a change is submitted to the wiki, the page is locked until the change is either approved or unapproved.
If you plan to include a lot of changes to a particular wiki, the best advice I can give is to do them all at once,
previewing any changes, before submitting the post. If you make one change and then submit the post, you will need to wait until it is either approved or unapproved before you can make another change, and the same goes for anyone else.
Any Administrators or Moderators can do this action, provided they have learnt where to look at the changes submitted and know how to check for destructive edits. The last thing we want is to throw open the doors and have broken wiki pages due to malformed BBCode or someone who is simply intent on removing the content submitted by others.
By and large, editing the wiki is almost exactly the same as posting on the discussion board. The only major change is the code used for tables, but if you are editing in WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) mode, then you see the table in it's graphical form anyway, so should not have a problem.
While I try to be online often enough throughout the day to action any edits quickly, I do travel like anyone else.
