Hi all fellow FF -

I've searched through the archives and noticed a series of posts re Lounge at Tokyo (Narita) airport (2007).

As I will be traveling to Tokyo Narita soon, I was wondering whether anyone can share their experiences.

FYI I am a Platinum QFF member.

Thanks

Regards
Richie

Go to the new JAL F Lounge. It is the best lounge, by far, that I have ever visited (apart from the Sydney F Lounge).

I agree ! We were last there in November. Good showers, you can get a massage - book as soon as you get there with the girl on the shower desk ( just behind the counter where you come into the First class lounge ) books the massages. The food is not as good as Sydney, but it is a very pleasant place :)

Good showers,

Best shower I've ever had, I actually took photos to plan for my next house :)

you can get a massage

It was short but brilliant

The beef curry is pretty good, but other than that there's not much to choose from. When I was there there was only 1 other person in the entire lounge for the 3.5 hours I was there!

The NRT JAL F Lounge can be summed up in one word - Whisky!

Since no one has mentioned it yet, the QF lounge at NRT is decidedly average.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be alone in thinking that.

Would the food comment apply to the champers and other liquids?

yes and the americans set low standards and fail to achieve them!!!
You haven't been to the newly revamped AC at NRT then.To me the best designed lounge there, space broken up well, power points everywhere and once we have had a shower and massage in the JAL F lounge I prefer to move to the AC.Much quieter and very little difference in drink options. And I really dont like the insipid brown curry served in the JAL lounge.

The AA lounge at Narita is the best AA lounge I have been in. It is S P A C I O U S, light, airy, tastefully decorated, good bathrooms, the separate bar area has the TV - so you dont hear it anywhere else, I think every seat has a power point ( dr.ron loves this !) even the food is OK, nice wine.

I found the satellite terminal QF lounge to be good. The showers were good, food good and there was a beer pouring machine.

The JAL First Lounge has a separate bar with a barman who will mix drinks, there seems to be a very comprehensive assortment of bottles. I dont drink spirits or champers so I am no help there as to what is available, but there is also a self serve bar for beer and wine, and there is always my favorite sav blanc or pinot grigio :D

I do like the NRT F lounge. I don't recall the champers being that great though.

I agree the AC is the best AC I have been to.

could this possibly set a trend elsewhere I muse?

Yes your OWE should get you in,even OWS should get in as it is officially a J lounge.
