Hello all, in a few weeks my dad and I are off to Hawaii using points redemption to fly first class (!) with Hawaiian Airlines. This was booked via the Velocity website, so it would seem Virgin has some sort of agreement/codeshare with HA.

Is there any chance of enjoying lounge access in SYD and HNL ?

TIA

Did you make a business class points redemption booking with Velocity?
Have been told by Velocity you cannot and also stated on their website; ^*Skywest and Hawaiian Airlines are economy only. http://www.velocityrewards.com.au/content/Redeem/Airlines/PointsTables/index.htm

Can you share how you managed to book, as Im stuck in Y on my HNL trip next July...
cheers

Hi UA_SYD, I 'misspoke' on my opening statement, I used points and pay for 2 x P class tickets, sorry for the inaccuracy.

hey jazza1971, $3180 x 2 plus several hundred thousand VFF points - now completely depleted !
Not good point value, but wanted to treat the old man.

I've got to say that the Hawaiian Premier Lounge at HNL is a complete waste of time other than for free wifi.

Checked it out when taking a recent HNL-SYD flight and there's no snacks or food on offer. Ended up leaving & squatting at Starbucks near gate 26 which at least offered for sale reasonable food and refreshements.

Agree cssaus, we ended up at the lounge at HNL close to Gate 55 I think - very spartan. There was another Premier Lounge upstairs somewhere or other but we couldn't be bothered to go check it out.
