I am off to London next week on Cathay and was wondering if anyone can confirm what lounge access there at LHR. I am Qantas Gold member flying PE according to the One World web site I have access to Cathay Lounge but on their site they say only if I am flying on a First or Business ticket

QF gold will give you access to oneworld business lounges. So at LHR T3 I believe that is CX, BA and AA.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Yes correct, you can go into the one world lounge a couple of min walk from the BA lounge I flew UL a few weeks ago and we used th BA lounge but that lounge wifi went down so went next door NO probs.

On ausbt there is a good review of the ow lounges at T3 BA is better for food and drink, CX for wifi - take your pick SG will get you in them all

I travelled from LHR six weeks ago as a QF Gold in Cathay PE and confirm I definitely had access to the Cathay Lounge in Terminal 3.

The lounge is called the Cathay Pacific First and Business Class Lounge - but the lounge access is spelled out in a separate table. You'll find that table through this link - you'll need to expand the 'Oneworld Frequent Flyers' section.

Oneworld sapphire (qantas gold) is eligible for access: Lounge Admittance | First & Business Class - Cathay Pacific

thanks for the heads up, thats what I understoodin regard to access to the loinges but I was confused by all the various explanations on Oneworld and CX sites, BTW what did you think if PE on CX?

Make sure you get a bulkhead seat! (can put your hand-luggage on the floor in front of you when you go to sleep and rest your legs on it - allows your legs to go fully horizontal)

If QF premium class is a Business Lite product, CX premium economy is a business Lite Lite (x2)

I concur with MEL_Traveller, select a bulkhead seat if you can. The recline is such that you have to do a bit of calisthenics to get out from behind. Noticeably better than economy, but not as good as Qantas PE which is more upscale from the economy experience than Cathay PE.
