Lounge access DXB & Interlining with BA

Hey guys,

I have a couple of questions. I've got a Premium Economy (W - I think!) flight SYD-DXB followed by a J flight on BA from DXB-LHR on a separate ticket. On my QF ticket I also have LHR-JFK (BA) & JFK-SYD (QF) in J.

Will the QF check in agents be able to ticket me for the BA flight and check my bags all the way through to LHR? Also, what are the chances that they will give me QP lounge access? Do I get Oneworld access from having a J ticket following this W flight, or is there a chance the dragons will take pity on me?

Any advise would be appreciated!

No - you are on BA onwards from DXB. You will be able to access the BA lounge only.

What is your status with QF?

Based on class of travel alone, no QP access in SYD and no EK lounge in DXB, but you will have access to the OW J lounge there.

Yes thought as much. Only QF Silver. Such a shame, the BA lounge is awful in DXB!

Your bags will be checked through to LHR from SYD. Just show the BA flight details at SYD check in.
