LIFETIME
STATUS C

Finally made it today...after joining date of April 1991, I get upgraded baggage and check-in!!
Actually I would have earned a lot more because lot of flying was before tier and status credits:)

How many have taken more than 24years 4 months to get here??

I now wonder how long it would have taken me without this forum:) Thanks all!!

member since 1988, status credits 6372, 27 years 4 months .
I will get there, BUT, LTG? no chance I fear

Member since July 2010 and currently sitting on 4550 SCs. I guess I will make LTS in a few more years, but it will be slower without JASAs. LTG..... no idea!

Oct 2003 -> June 2015 for me - so 11 years, 8 months.

I'm at 7,465 now.

Member since December 2012, 4505 Lifetime Status Credits; should have 5300 or so Lifetime SC's by December 2015. Lifetime Silver, if it happened, would likely be sometime in 2017.

So far it's' taken me almost 29 years to amass a total of 6,372 status credits so I should've knocked off the additional 628 required by 11 Sep 2016 which will be my 30 year date of joining anniversary.

This is actually quite an interesting thread from the F/JASA point of view. They were killed off because pax were obtaining status too cheaply/quickly/easily/??? yet here we see AFF members who used F/JASAs (myself included) but have taken/are taking 20+ years to obtain LTS, nevermind LTG.

Point of order: the "Status credit" system (previously called "tier credits") was not introduced until late 1998 (IIRC?) so no-one at all has taken more than 16+ years to achieve any kind of lifetime status.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Some of us have considered the benefits of alternative FF programs to have more personal benefit than QF's program  Though I am at about 40% of the way to LTS on QF in the 16 years I've been a member. Though I must admit QF has been reasonably generous to me - especially after reading about the "miseries" of some QF WP's...

Happy wandering

Fred

I thought I'd been slow taking from October 1995 to about 2013 (as I recall) - a mere 18 years. As my current balance for this year is zero and not likely to go much higher over the years I have no chance of getting to LTG. If I'd climbed the corporate ladder a bit more I would probably have made it with all the J class travel. Being self-employed now I've had to throw my lot in with VA for status. Wonder if they'll ever have lifetime status as a benefit.

Joined Dec 1995, and sitting on 5,655 SCs. Sadly I doubt I'll *ever* reach LTS - QF have pulled out of Asia so I rarely fly with them any more. Like Wandering Fred, I'm actually using other FF programs now, as it suits my situation much better.

I do keep my QF membership though - the tier credits on domestic flights are much better than those offered by my current FF program, so in a way I have my feet in a couple of camps.

These days I'm earning points with QF faster than SCs - but that's ok, I can use them to fly QF when I feel like it and upgrade myself as a reward for being so "loyal".

You and I are very similar..... May 2004 > August 2015 @ 6635. My upcoming Sept trip should see me to LTS YAY! So that will be 11 years, 3 months :)

Hopefully LTG will come around a bit quicker

14 years to get to LTS - joined the program in 1998. I will get LTG next month, so a bit over 3 years for the next step. I have to say earning every status credit has been greatly enjoyed :)

Miss FM and Dr FM are a bit over 6,000 and Master FM a bit under. I would think they will all have LTS next year or the year after, which will make it 18 or 19 years for them. However as they are all still under 30 that is not so bad.

Took me 13 years to reach LTS and another 4 to hit LTG.

FWIW, when I hit LTS I never thought about reaching LTG, along comes a new business opportunity ... bada bing, bada, boom - GOLD

Fair enough, but my point still stands considering 16+ year time scales!

Having taken a while to get to Lifetime Silver, I was confused to see this on my membership. I hope the definition of 'lifetime' has not changed. :

Congratulations!

You have retained Lifetime Silver status for your next membership year.

your tier.

Maybe it just means you are still alive.;)

My join date is March 2002 just after Ansett finally died taking my 200K points with them.

I'm still a few hundred SC short of the lifetime silver picnic...

Too many different airlines...

I do have three towns of KLM houses if anyone wants a swap!;)

Joined in 2002 and reached LTS in 2013. Now less than 3000 SCs needed for LTG so should be there in less than 2 years. Simpler and Fairer changes have put a brake on progress this year as the earn rate on OW partners has halved. Although I have barely renewed platinum for another year, the SC earn on QF marketed flights is still short of my first loyalty bonus for the year! If LTG wasn't a possibility, I would definitely be reassessing my future with QFF.
