Long HKG Transit question.

I arrive into HKG at 10pm tonight. And fly out tomorrow afternoon at 2pm.
i have an airport hotel booked for the night. But I am thinking to go through the transfer point in HKG and go to the lounge quickly for some food and then leave the airport for the hotel. Will this be easy for me to do? Or will the authorities give me a hard time?

are you flying on Cathay Pacific? The Arrivals Lounge is open 0500-midnight and is outside of baggage collection. Food is available.

HKG is separated like Australia, so once you go through the transfer point its going to be hard to enter Hong Kong.

It can be done but not worth the trouble. There are some good cheap food outlets at the departures level land side if it just food you are after.

In a word no. You cannot move from the departures area back out. Even if you could, given your next day departure is after 6am, you may not have access? Unsure about that one.

As Markis has suggested, as a OneWorld Emerald, you should have access to the Arrivals lounge in HKG if you want a snack or a shower once you arrive into HKG.

I'm not sure if you specified that you were travelling on CX - isn't access to the Arrival strictly limited to same day arrivals on CX only (excluding OW or partner airlines), regardless of MPC Gold / OWE status?
