Want somewhere good near Blackfriars/Temple area. Any suggestions? Budget is up to GBP 300 a night.

I'm looking at the Grange St Paul's since the location is most convenient and it appears to be 5 star. Anyone here tried it?

Pity that Hyatt Regency, Andaz, and Conrad all increased in price.

I like Apex Temple Court, it will come well within budget. I like this chain and use them in Scotland as well. Worth looking them up. Probably 4* but worth checking them out....cheers V

The Waldorf? Also got 30% off at the moment - depending on dates rooms start at GBP164

Ended up going with the Waldorf Hilton. Paid GBP 230 for the Deluxe King - room was spacious, warm, and fresh due to being recently renovated. Even got a nice chocolate cake on arrival with 'Welcome to the Waldorf' written on it.

Tremendous location close to Covent Garden and all the theatres and the many restaurants etc in the area. Very convenient for walking to many of the attractions. Only downside is that some of the common areas of the hotel need refreshing/a face lift and are showing their age - especially the gym.

try and give this a bump to see if anyone's had recent stays they can suggest, in particular, if anyone's stayed at a virtuoso/FHR type property that has the extras thrown in?

am over for 4 nights next month and looking for a stay 4, pay 3 promo to bring the per night cost to something palatable!
