London Apartments/Flats suggestions (5 month stay)

Hi there,

Does anyone have any suggestions/websites/agents to look/research for for London Apartments or flat rentals. Stay period asap for a period of 5 months. Preferably close to the City Budget is probably no more than 300GBP per week.

(or even know anyone who has a spare room to rent out or something, please PM me). Its for my girlfriend and her friend.

One of our AFF members is Myrna who is currently based in London and a message to her may yield some helpful ideas. She was previously based in Sydney. It is quite an adventure to go there.
Next Flashware has been based in London for quite a while and is active in AFF.

Thanks mate.

Overnight they both found a couch to sleep on when they arrive next week, then they will sort something out when they get there No more last minute panicking for them.

And no doubt I'll catch up with Flashy in late October when I get there.

Yeah they did but there is just too much risk apparently. We did some reaseach and can see loads of Western Union scams where the potential landlords (fraudsters) advised to send money to yourself (or to a friend,family) but forward a copy of the transfer receipt to them. It appears they can collect (intercept) those funds by using that scanned receipt. We had a two emails to this affect and just told them we'd pay alternate methods such as Escrow and they flatly refused.

A friend of mine left last week and managed to get a studio apt over the period of the Queen's Jubliee by using Holiday rentals, private rooms, sublets by the night - Accommodations on Airbnb
