On that last point, it should be noted the Q&E deal requires the airlines to match product standards. For Qantas, that means the only way is up. It’s already agreed to match Emirates’ business and first-class chauffeur transfers to and from airports.

Will QF be introducing this for all long-haul Intl flights including into Asia or just on the QF/EK codeshares to DXB?

So, If I am flying F from SYD-LHR booked on Qantas metal will the limo transfer in London be availible to me ? or is this a mis read of the thread?

on hold with QF now, the girl on the other end doesnt know anything yet , BUT then on closer inspection i noticed the Press release was dated yeasterday

It was announced at the time of the announcement. I guess we have to assume that this will be bookable once the ACCC approval is released.

We have emirates J seats in July and as a couple the emirates site actually allows us 2 limos to and from airport to Hotel. ie a car each! One of our flights changed departure time so the limo booking was immediately amended by Emirates. One of our flights is only five hours.

i'm not red roo..but hazzard a guess it's not worth the expenditure of 'setting it up' in FRA just for 3-4 months of remaining flights to FRA! (FINAL SYD/SIN/FRA SERVICE 26/10/2013..COINCIDING WITH END OF EURO UNION SUMMER DAYLIGHT SAVINGS!!)

don't think there is that much to set up for the 7 months it would be active as EK already offers this service in FRA, and in SYD the departure and arrival times of QF5/6 are within 30 minutes of QF1/2

thats ALOT of EXTRA cars (and associated costs/staff/drivers etc) for a short term 3-4 months...not finding excuses... just trying to think of why they wouldnt do it!!

The net result in my case was(in spite of here being a press release there today) I will have to wait and see.

When I asked QF about this service for an April LAX-SYD flight, they inferred that I would be able to get it. Latest announcements now rule that out. So I miss out at both ends of my DONE4.

Yep, same here. That July date for flights to the US is entirely new, last month the Qantas guy on the phone seemed very well under the impression himself that all destinations over 12 hours would be serviced from April onwards. Got several flights to the US in May and June so no love for me either :evil:

The non DXB flights were always mid-year per the press release.
