Received this on the 23rd. I may have forgotten something, but wasn't the promotion double status credits only? Also, the below appears to be credited wrong with both bonus points and bonus status credits giving points.

Got bunch of those myself, also on the 23rd....but all at 625 points with no SC

Mine are 1.5x rather than double as well, there are more entries beyond the first two all with points. What's interesting is yours is all status credits, which is the opposite of what was credited to me.

The offers were all different and random. Mine was for 50% bonus Status Credits.

Based on what I've heard from one friend and one relative, I imagine some of these are going to be reversed before too long... not a good look.

"LET QANTAS REWARD YOU"... then "LET QANTAS TAKE IT BACK".

I know someone who got 17x transactions for 7SC, and as a result, he got to Gold. But didn't register for anything and certainly hasn't taken 17 flights recently. Go figure.

If it were really a "let us reward you" promotion, it would make no sense to not promote it, at least to the recipient.

20 x 5 bonus SCs

Just had a look at my activity statement and on 23 Dec there are 20 entries for 5 bonus SCs each, like this (only showing some of them):



Ten entries say bonus points and ten say bonus SCs (although they all award SCs only)

Anyone know what this is about? I have bought wines on Epiqure, and loaded and spent cash on Qantas Cash, but I don't remember any offer like this, especially spread over 20 entries.

No complaining, just curious. I think must be a glitch?

Is the recipient not being notified by virtue of receiving a reward?

I booked a flight MEL-SYD-MEL when I received a 50% bonus status credit offer but then cancelled it and rebooked when the 100% status credit offer (christmas offer) came around and received the bonus status credits as a 'LET QANTAS REWARD YOU' transaction... Correct bonus status credits btw. Certainly hope they won't be taken back!

Doubles come through as separate transactions too.

Odd thing for my friend was he didn't get the original email, and didn't register, yet got the bonuses. So is registering actually not required? What's the point of the button?

Also, the difference between the initial amount and the amount deducted was less than the total amount of bonus SCs due, and didn't even match with the correct number for a given number of trips.

Yep, 75 SCs removed. But I appear to be 25 SCs up on the deal (ie 100 initially allocated in 20 transactions of 5 SCs each). I still have no idea what the bonus SCs were about - I didn't use any offer which might have brought them.

Reminds me a bit of the Air Canada Aeroplan scheme. Early last year they apparently did some sort of audit and ripped away bunches of miles from member's accounts due to allocation errors made IIRC two or three years previously!! But there was no explanation given (as usual, the reason leaked out later). Some people were left with negative miles balances :shock:
