First of all we did enjoy our stay here.Status recognition was excellent. However there are quite a few problems.
First of all we were upgraded to a suite with a good view of pool and ocean through the trees.Free buffet breakfast.A coupon for a free drink each.A delivered snack every day.Everyone can get free wifi in the lobby,in room costs.
Occupancy was obviously very low.Only 2 of the 6 restaurants open each night. The restaurants are dear. There are some restaurants nearby. The one most reccomended is the Rimlay. The only thing going for it is the cheap prices. So you are pretty isolated.costs B100 each to go into town by hotel shuttle, another B100 to come back.Although there are local taxis their business has obviously dropped off and so they are no cheaper.
Problems-this hotel opened about 2 months before the tsunami. It obviously caused major problems. The toilet in the main bathroom was enclosed in a glass cubicle.Opening the door revealed why-the smell was awful.
lighting is a problem.Various lights would just turn off for varying periods, sometimes the TV as well.Light switches were hopeless.Turning the master switch off at the bed turned off the clock radio. If you turned the bedside lights of individually you couldnt turn the light off over the TV.however if you switched that off you then couldnt turn on the bedside reading lights.
Another night there was a knocking noise all night-shade of the Goons-whats that Knocking noise Henry? When complained the engineer came up and it disappeared immediately.Obviously had happened before and we got a letter from GM and some extra goodies delivered.
The sting in the tail was that my DC got compromised whilst there and it was only used at the hotel. No reply to my notification.
So a nice place.Very quiet and isolated.Good for vegging.Several quality issues. So now some pics.
