LAX lounges with a shower/arrival lounge

Hi all,

As a QF SG and PP holder, what are my options for finding somewhere with a shower on arrival. Arriving on QF11 and then connecting to an AA flight from T5. I have just under 5 hours so moving between terminals should be an option.

From what I can gather there is an Admirals lounge in T4 with showers. Another Admirals lounge in T5 but no showers. I recall this (T4) lounge being average and food options useless (just like all Admirals lounges). From what I can I can tell, the PP lounges on offer don't have showers.

Can I get access to the QF lounge in TBIT after clearing immigration and re-checking my bag? Would it even be open at that time? Other OW lounge options in TBIT?

Anyone got any expeience with the Alaska Airlines Lounge in T6? Or the Virgin Loft lounge in T3? Figure they can't be worse than the Admirals lounges.

I believe you can use the QF/OW TBIT lounge and shower. I have done this before. Granted the person at the door was like "OMG you shouldnt be in this terminal. I dont know how you got in".
They let me in as a "favour" as the lounge wasnt busy. I knew i had access so didnt push it and just went it.
The person at the door was clearly wrong and i had even contacted QF beforehand to confirm access.

OW rules allow you access to the lounge as a SG and after getting off QF11 a year ago i had a really great shower before heading over to T4.
The lounge is definitely open. Hours say 06:30 to 23:30 on Lounge Locations | North America | Los Angeles International Airport Tom Bradley Terminal | International Business

Thanks for the info. Did you clear customs/immigration and then just head back through security?

Yes. Just as if you were continuing to JFK. Due to security lines getting into tbit the drug swab guy gets everyone.

After clearing CBP at TBIT you end up landside in the arrivals hall ... don't go outside, just head to the right and go all the way to the end and use the 6 months old transit security.

At the top you come out at the T4 / TBIT connector ... head right (don't go down any escalators) and you come out near the entrance to the QF First lounge - the business lounge is further along. The lounge doesn't open until 6:30am.

Thanks. I presume before I do that (heading right to the transit security), I re-check my bag for the connecting flight?

Yes, after custom but before you exit, there are two ramps - Ignore the Left - the one leading up to the right takes you up to the bag redeposit.
