Im starting to feel like this when figuring out what lounge to use. And whats a Los Angeles International Lounge?

I liked the Emirates lounge.

Wish VA6 would either change to an evening flight or VA open more options for VA6 passengers ):

Having a SYD (VA2) flight tomorrow but in TBIT tonight, I went to the EK lounge and asked for timings.

Check in opens for VA from 2:30pm in T2.

EK lounge opens for VA PAX from 5pm. *

*(It's open 1:30-4:30pm for the single daily EK flight, so his is after it 'closes'.)

Long time bump, but does anyone know if there is a VA rep present in the EK LAX lounge? Connecting in from DL and want to check about seating (am WP), basically trying to find out if I have to exit after DL flight or just transfer airside which is obviously preferable vs re-clearing security at TBIT...

There is a VA rep in the lounge, was just there on Wednesday. As for connecting, not sure on that one.

The VA rep can reassign seats, reprint BP's etc. at the lounge. The VA flights are the only game in town for the EK lounge at that time of the evening.

@Must...Fly! Luggage?
No, carry on only. Looking to see if I can move a row or two forward...

Used this lounge recently in July, great space and fantastic food offering. (I recommend the beef by the way) Lounge is a bit of a trek after security but once there well worth the walk. A good bonus that only VA utilises the lounge at the time VA2 leaves LAX

I just used this on Friday night. There was a VA staff member at the front desk and I second Yipchoi's comments. I was flying VA24 to Melbourne and the lounge had more than enough space for everyone and a really good selection of foods, not just snacks but enough for a decent meal if you're hungry.
I find VA's hodge-podge of different international lounge contracts depending on location and flight to be annoying but I absolutely can't complain about the quality of this lounge, it's very, very good.

Agreed. Emirates Lounge at LAX is a destination in itself. Can't wait to be back there next February. Can a VA Plat still guest one person in? Thinking of taking our 18 year old son in there - he has autism and won't touch the food, but it would be nice to give his older siblings a break from minding him outside in the departure terminal.
And before anyone admonishes me for even considering deserting him in favour of the EK Lounge, know this: his siblings adore him and want Mr Clipped & I in the Lounge by ourselves as a payback for taking them on this 3 week vacation in the first place) :)

I was thinking it would be a more quite/restful area for him. I get stressed by the noise, security and crowd, the hurry up and wait.

Lovely to hear, thank you! Yes @Denali I totally understand how airports are a great source of sensory overload for anyone with ASD or even mild anxiety. Our boy loves to fly, although he won't go near a toilet on board (and on a 15 hour flight, that can be most uncomfortable). I used to have him in adult diapers but he is taller than me now and refuses them.

The EK Lounge is really lovely and it serves lemonade, which is his favourite soda. I know he will probably sit there, flap his hands and chew his nails for 2 hours, but at least it will give his siblings the opportunity to wander the terminal and sit down somewhere themselves for a nice (uninterrupted) meal.
