I have a VA flight SYD-LAX return in J with connecting flights on VX onto ORD.
I will be traveling on VA1 which will land at 9:15am into TBIT. My connecting flight is on a VX flight out of T3 departing at 4:30pm, so I have a bit of wait!
In the past the VX Loft lounge has been the only option but my question is: Can i access the new star alliance lounge which is now available after my VA flight?
I know that I can access this lounge on LAX-SYD legs now but can this be accessed after my flight to LAX?
(i really hope so cos VX loft is kinda cough!)

I am VA Platinum, traveling J on my VA flight and F for my VX flight.

Thanks! :)

I don't think so Jordanva - the Star Alliance lounge (which is VERY nice indeed :) ) is airside in TBIT and you wouldn't be able to get through security without a boarding pass for a flight departing from TBIT. So as far as I'm aware, the VX Loft in T3 will be your only option on arrival into LAX - I'm sure someone here will let you know if my answer is incorrect!

No.
You won't be able to get airside in TBIT on the way over, and thus will have to got to T3 for your VX flight and the VX Loft.

Coming back you will be able to access the Star Lounge before departure from TBIT (although checkin is T3 if VX is unable to thru-check)
