Pricing suggests that this is a legit fare (as opposed to a potential ’mistake’ or ‘error‘ fare). JFK available for a a couple of hundred more.

Note that if crediting to a Oneworld carrier such as QF or AA that LATAM leaves OW on Oct 1st.
 
Also available to/from MEL on days that LA804/5 operate.
