I cannot get a straight answer from the KF no helpdesk, perhaps I cant phrase my query well enough.

I want to redeem two Business Saver awards online for 76,500 each.

I have 44,000 miles in my account and my better half has 21,000 and I have sufficient Amex points to top up both accounts to the required amount but cant work out how to do that, as I cannot transfer my Amex points into her account. I want to use her points as part of this transaction.

Can the redemption nominee option be a solution?

You can't combine points from different KF accounts to redeem an award.

From the T&Cs:
7. All KrisFlyer miles required for an award ticket must be earned by the same member under the same account number.

As far as I'm aware, Amex points can only be transferred to a KF account with the same name. You might have to just redeem both tickets from your own account and leave the points in her account for another time.

The short answer is "No". You can't combine/transfer points from one KF account to another.

If you travel at least twice a year to Asia and (a little bit) beyond, may I recommend that your better half join Asiana Club (to accumulate *A Status), while you stay in KF (to get points). This way, you can get the best of both worlds, since your better half's points are pretty much "useless". Mayhaps, your better half can get enough points to use the 50% Asiana Redemption voucher when attained Diamond Status in 2 years.

In/Out of Melbourne, it looks to me that J Saver is hard to come by :( Now it is only offerred on SQ238 (out) and SQ237 (in). For April/May, they are all "not offerred" or "wait listed".

Can we start a petition to get J Savers opened up in SQ217/8 and SQ227/8? (Don't be shy, you want you want it too...)

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

These guys are correct, no chance with KF to mix and match.

I travel all ove rthe world with SIA every month. I ensure that all of my miles & AMEX miles etc go onto my account. I then buy tickets for my wife and I through my KF account only.

In fact her account has now expired becasue all her flights are redemption flights (she never earns any)!!

Thanks for the responses guys, I'll change my strategy.
