JQ Starter fare with no checked baggage allowance - check in baby stroller?

Just made Gold on QF last week and to celebrate we are heading SYD-MEL next week on JQ......Will be taking our 4 month old on her first flight and we are only away for 2 days with the grandparents so 10kg each for carry on only is plenty. Noticed on JQ website that infant cots and stollers do not count towards any checked baggage allowance. If I don't have any checked baggage allowance does that still allow me to check in a stoller for free?? It's not crucial for us but would be handy to know. Website not exactly clear on this and JQ not the easiest to speak to so anyone got experience of this?
