JQ *Class Melbourne --> Singapore

Hi Guys

I have searched but I have not found.....

I am flying Melbourne --> Singapore in *Class next month.

As I read it *Class flights earn the same points and status credits as qantas business class flights.

This would suggest (according to the QFF Earning Points Calculator) this will net me 120 Status Credits...does this sound correct?

FWIW, you also will receive 4687 QFF Points + more if you have any status.
You will also receive an express pass through security + Qantas Business Lounge Access.
You will also most assuredly receive a delayed flight

Hi serfty

I have seen such posts whilst considering this option but given the fact its a) a (rare) bout of self funded travel, b) I have no important connections other than a few days training mid trip and c) its approx $2K cheaper than the cheapest J ticket (on EK, MEL to KUL) I will give it a whirl and if delays occur ...I will just go with the flow

No worries, SWMBO and I flew this back in February. Flight left MEL 45 minutes late and landed 25 minutes early into SIN. Since as a WP, we had first class lounge access before the flight that was not a problem.

The service was fine, enthusiastic even.

The only real issue was the 5 weeks for the SC's and QFF points to post.

If thats the worst that happens I will be lucky - I am still waiting approx seven weeks for a batch of (work paid for) Jetflex tickets to credit
