Dear all
I have 6 J flights coming coming for the family, including our newborn. Is it worth it to join Frequent flyers, as no points will be earned.

Woollworths would not join her via everyday rewards, as minimum age is 1 year.

Would she still earn status credits though? Can't seem to see anything about this in the Qantas terms/conditions.

If she does earn status credits, then would be silver in 2 months.

Thanks

I am surprised about the 1 year thing as babygr joined WW at about 2 months. There is no benefit in adding it to his booking though. No SCs will be earned.

We joined baby G at about 6 weeks via Woolworths ER. There are no SC's or points - fair enough as they don't actually pay to fly - but you can accrue points to their account via woolies spend.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

mini vec joined EDR/QF at 3 weeks, about 11 weeks ago.
Thanks everyone, just logged onto ER site and it now accepts her birth date of march 2011. Could be that I tried to register her on her birth date and again 5 days later.
I now suspect the baby needs to be atleast 1 month old or registered in the next month and not in the same month as birth date.

Didn't you have better things to do *on* her birth date?

My daughter joined QFF (through the Woolworths card) at 1 day old. My theory is that with all the flights she'll take between now and when she turns 18 she should have accumulated a sufficient points balance to fund a few post-graduation trips. If we keep up our current travel over that period she'll also reach Lifetime Gold along the way.

Sadly she doesn't earn SCs when flying as a lap child (even if we have to pay the infant fare), but she took her first flight with allocated seating at 13 months and obviously once she's 2 we won't have a choice but to book her a seat.

Signed up mini milno (3mo) this evening after an email from Qantas offering complimentary membership. Can't post the link, though, as my AFF post count is too low...
