Hi AFF Community,

Just noticed the following targeted email today in my inbox from Virgin Velocity. Join using the link below and credit 40 points into your new account to get a bonus 1k points:

https://www.velocityfrequentflyer.c....html?CHANNELNAME=MGM&PROMOCODE=MGMTnIQMO3Exx

The first 20 new members to join and earn via your the link will earn 1,000 bonus Points. I will be rewarded with 1,000 bonus Points. Not sure if credit card points from FlyBuys or Amex can be used to satisfy the 40 points (worth a try).

VA is great if you use FlyBuys as it earns status credits for shopping and easier to level up status than Qantas with the addition of family pooling. You can also transfer points to Singapore and tier status is accepted with their partners Air New Zealand.

Thanks
Vinny

I have had to remove a couple comments from this thread. The referral sub-forum is clear about what posters need to include in their post and what they don't. If you are unsure, please read the sticky before posting.

Hi

Got email too! On the off-chance somebody here isn't a member here are the details...

1,000 bonus points up for grabs for new Velocity members via this referral link. Sign up and earn a minimum of 40 Velocity Points by
30 April 2017. This can be done easily via BP, Flybuys or velocity e-store.

Another quick way of earning may be to sign up for e-rewards (link). if you enrol and take a survey you can redeem for 750 bonus velocity points - then cancel the account. They can take a while to credit from e-rewards so as long as redemption occurs before 30 April 2017 and credited to your Velocity account by 31 July 2017 it should be OK (as per Ts&Cs).

You will receive 1,000 bonus points, and as referrer i will receive 1,000 points. Limited to 20 referrals.

Thanks

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I'd like to share my Velocity referral link too. Velocity has become my main FF program over the last few years, it used to be rusted on Qantas. The cheaper redemption rates and much lower fuel fines make Velocity a great value proposition.

Each person signing up using a referral link (including mine) gets a bonus 1000 pts. If I'm lucky enough to have anyone signs up using my link I get 1000 points too.

The conditions of the offer are as follows:
 • Sign up using a referral link
 • Earn 40 Velocity points by 30th of April 2017
 • Both parties get a 1000 pts

You should be able to satisfy the requirement for 40pts pretty easily. Some good options would be: flying (kind of obvious), the Velocity estore (for retailers such as eBay, Marks and Spencer etc) and credit card transfers.

If anyone is kind enough to use my referral link - I'll certainly put the bonus points to good use!

REFERRAL LINK

No need to post my referral link - I have two guinea pigs, a cat, a dog and a few relatives to sign up. Should make 10 easily

There needs to be at least 40 points of activity for the bonus points to register so unless you plan on making transactions on all of the accounts then you won't get any where.

And two big cars and a BP nearby - bit of a rinse/repeat I agree but 20k isn't too shabby

Adding my link for the bonus points. Please use to get 1,000 bonus points (and I also get 1,000):

Here are 3 easy ways to earn 40 Velocity Points today:
1. Fill up your car with 20 litres of fuel or more at any participating BP service station and receive 2 Velocity Points per litre;
2. Shop online via the Velocity eStore and spend $20 or more. Choose from hundreds of your favourite brands including eBay and The Iconic;
3. Book ahead with Wilson Parking Book A Bay and you’ll earn five Velocity Points per $1 spent* at over 85 participating Wilson Parking car parks across Australia.

If you're look for a Velocity Referral to Join Virgin Australia's Velocity Frequent Flyer program, I'd like to offer mine HERE.

If you join using this link between now and the 30th of April and earn 40 points (also by April 30) you'll be credited with a 1000 bonus Velocity Frequent Flyer Points (I'll also earn 1000 pts).

Travelling back and forth from Australia to NZ, Velocity has become my go to program over the last few years. Like every program it has its faults, but I find the redemption rates good, cash co-payments low and availability not too bad (route and date dependent of course).

Even if you don't intend to use Virgin much, I'd highly recommend signing up to the Velocity Program as you never know when you might flight Virgin in the future and the 1000 bonus points makes it worth your while!

Earning the 40 pts is pretty easy, just fill up at BP (or buy something from their shop) or use the Velocity estore to buy something online.

My referral link is here for anyone kind enough to use it.
