JL Business Class Carry On limits - pushing the friendship?

Have a series of upcoming legs with JL in J. My First time flying with JL.

Their website specifies only a single carry on bag + personal item, and this seems to apply for all passengers regardless of cabin class/status.

If i were to take a carryon roller case, would a largeish backpack, bigger than a "personal item" but well within carry on limits on its own, be pushing the friendship?

Has anyone else had experience with JL carrying to cabin bags onto J?

Well I personally think that is pushing the friendship but on every JL J flight we have take-5 this year-someone comes on with at least that amount of carry on items.

Given my position on the QF weighing carry on items thread..its pretty clear the rules! so it might have to be the 1 bag + personal item. At least JL give 10kgs in total, rather than the measly 7kgs QF offer.

I usually take on a rollon and a medium sized computer bag with cameras and cables.Together weigh 10-11 KG.never anything said on JL.
As I said people come on with a roll on,large back pack,computer bag and some shopping and nothing said by the Jal FAs.
