We received Jetstar vouchers for flights Jetstar have cancelled to Bali. I got them to break the vouchers down to $660 each but this is still a lot of money for Jetstar flights. It says that the vouchers can only be used once and any unused portion will be forfeited. Is this still the case and has anyone had any luck using them for multiple bookings or even receiving a refund after accepting vouchers?

Actually, Jetstar vouchers can now be used to pay for multiple bookings. I just used my $234 voucher to purchase 2 separate domestic NZ flights and after each booking it stated the remaining value and I still have $100+ left. They have been a dream to deal with compared to Qantas and Air NZ.
The official word from Jetstar is here under Greater flexibility when using credit vouchers :

Interestingly am on chat tight now and received the following as a start,
These bookings you provided are with Jetstar and will follow Jetstar's terms and conditions. Jetstar and Qantas may be related but they have their respective operational process and terms/policy in place. One moment as check your bookings.
As the flights to/from Bali in early Sep (connecting international after a stopover) are truly cancelled one of the options was a refund to original form of payment. Including a $A50 voucher as part original payment and refund....

Seems I was able to book the flights (2 PNRs) faster on line than the agent is able to refund. online Whole process was about 70 minutes including 33 minutes wait before exchange started

Refunds to on the card used for payment within 14-30 business days.

Getting refunds is slow wandering
Fred

PS Now to get the international flights refunded from CX

Any advice for you folks on my FWP with JQ. Booked some international flights with QF back in Feb for SYD-AKL rtn in Sep. These are clearly now not happening and happy to have taken the credit vouchers. Also booked AKL-ZQN return for the same holiday with JQ which of course I can no longer take as can't enter NZ. JQ won't offer a voucher as the flights I booked are still scheduled to operate. Happy to take a voucher but at the moment will sit things out in hope JQ cancel flights or I will lose the money. Anyone got any special magic to offer to get a voucher at least? Have chatted to Jess and Computer said no.

Im hoping the current voucher expiry will be extended past Dec 22, anyone have any insights?

I had two vouchers from cancelled 3K flights in 2020 that were to expire in December this year.

I had managed to burn one and part of the other and was eying off flights in November to book the remainder.

Now no need to rush as I just received an email extending the validity to Dec 2023:

Good news! If your Jetstar Airways (JQ) or Jetstar Asia (3K) Voucher expires from September to December 2022, you've got an extra year to plan and book your Jetstar trip!
Important changes to how to use your voucher.
  • The expiry date of your voucher has been extended to 31 December 2023.
  • After the expiry date, this voucher will have no value and will not be accepted by Jetstar.
  • The travel dates of this booking must also be on or before 31 December 2023.
  • If you try to use this voucher to make a booking with a travel date after 31 December 2023, it will not be accepted as a form of payment. This includes both one-way and return trips.

I got this email the other day.

Didn't realise I had a credit voucher with Jetstar. It may be for a flight last year during lockdowns not the April 2020 flights that were cancelled by the airline without further contact.
