I searched the forum for information on this and could not find anything. The old flights that used to go seem to no longer exist. Am I missing something?

If you have a look at Flight Aware, you will see that these days, Jetstar flies JQ35/JQ37 direct from MEL and SYD respectively to DPS, the 2 cities, ie, MEL and SYD don't connect in reaspect to these 2 flights anymore.
I have taken the JQ 787 and the JQ330 (as a D stickered dom pax) from SYDint to MELint about year and a bit ago.
These days, its rare, maybe only when JQ really wants to.
You could go SYD - AKL in whY/flexY on LAN with a QF flight number, and then AKL - MEL on EK with a QF flight number.
A lot pricier than that elusive JQ dom pax on an int flight thingo. Plus more QF SC.
The last time I saw it was Mar this year.

They ran a few in April MEL-SYD on Sundays but they seem to come and go and I suspect are at risk of cancellation

Spent some time trying to find a MEL/SYD domestic JQi leg. In a window of three months I've found only one eligible flight. :-(

A quick look for the next 12 months and there are no MEL-SYD domestic JQi after 5/10/16

JQ27 27/7, 3/8, 24/8, 7/9, 14/9, 21/9, 28/9 & 5/10
JQ3 3/9

Seemed to be more SYD-MEL when I was looking the other day but only a gut feel as I didn't record dates

I posted this in the Cheap Domestic Fares forum but thought it might help those wanting to catch a JQI flight. I'm on the JQ5 this Saturday SYD-BNE departing at the very reasonable time of 13:35. There is also another a week later same day, same time.

the 5 & 6 are running SYD-BNE-SYD this saturday & sunday respectively

Not that I am able to do it, but J on the JQ05 is sold out on the SYD - BNE leg.
Haven't checked coming back. Edit: JQ06 the next day also J is sold out on the return leg.
Probably JQ speak for J seats are NOT AVAILABLE on these flights.

Don't think anybody books J on these flights. And I doubt anybody would book ex-BNE either.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
