Jetstar's Collect4Schools Program

How does collect4schools work?

Jetstar wants to help your school by offering a chance to apply for a Jetstar flight voucher when you collect 25 or 50 Jetstar boarding passes.

Schools receiving Jetstar flight vouchers may choose to raffle them off for a fundraiser, donate tickets to a family in need, or provide the flights to students competing at interstate school events.

25 boarding passes equals a voucher for one return domestic flight.

50 boarding passes equals a voucher for two return domestic flights.

So there are up to 200 vouchers to be given away ($500 vouchers, or 100 $1000 vouchers), based on order of application, and a limit of one voucher per school

Interesting promotion. How many schools are in Australia? Going to be some pretty disappointed school kids waving the flight off to Disneyland (Hawaii actually ;) ) for Today Tonight

I will pass my 25 passes made over the next 3 months to one of the bushfire affected schools that might need the flight used for seing family etc...

I haven't read the T&Cs of the promotion (eg. how old the boarding passes can be) but perhaps, given Sunstar320's suggestion and the forum's recent donation to the bushfire appeal, AFF could collect boarding passes from members and pass them on to one of the Victorian schools in bad shape.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

All boarding passes must show travel taken between 19 February, 2009 and 19 May, 2009.

I suppose the real issue would be the time required to collect, collate and distribute. As there are a maximum of 200 'prizes' (and minimum of 100), I see these going very quickly. Take for example a school of 200 students. It is likely that out of those students, there are 13 people who can each collect 2 boarding passes from their family/friends/relatives/parent's workplace etc, which would give the school a $500 voucher... Let alone some of the 'mega' schools which have lots more students.
