Hi everyone,
Just wondering if there is anyone here that has had to deal with the UK Visa and Immigration department recently and/or if they might have any suggestions for me.
I am 3 weeks from flying to the UK with my wife and 3 children to study for 12 months. after receiving the required paperwork from the school I am to study at I applied straight away with my whole family for Tier 4 student Visa's. They advised that it would take approximately 3 weeks to have our visa's and passports (which had to be submitted) returned to us.
It has now been over three weeks and have had not so much as an email to confirm anything. I know it's just over the time limit, but we are due to fly out in just less than three weeks and we have no visa's and no passports, and no original documents... They have all of it. It has all been sent to Manilla of all places for processing.
I have tried to find a contact phone number for VFS, the company which handles the visa applications and they don't advertise one, I have tried sending an email to the correct department in the UK and no one has answered, I have tried to call the department, but been met with a message that all calls are charged at 1.5GBP a minute. Other than just sucking it up and forking out money to talk to someone on the phone, does anyone have any other advice for me?
Just getting a bit nervous at how close it's getting and to have no idea if/when we will get our passports etc back, or even where they are in the process.
