Issues with new MH Z fare basis/booking

Hello all

I'm trying to score a cheap MH KUL-HKG J RT fare but am running into some odd behaviour. Flights I'm looking for are..

Outbound: 14 DEC 17 MH72
Inbound: 17 DEC 17 MH433

This morning the inbound flight (MH433) started showing "Business Smart" pricing on the MH site only - I can't find this pricing anywhere else. According to the fare notes, it books into Z using fare basis ZBS1FMY. This fare basis is seemingly non-existent on EF.

My issue is that the outbound MH72 flight is still only showing Business Flex (D) pricing despite there being availability in Z, and the fare basis should allow for bookings on MH72 with a 50 MYR surcharge.

I've called MH but they've refused to look into it as Z fares are available online only.

Does anyone have any advice? Is this something a travel agent should be able to help with, or is that unlikely if the fare basis isn't even showing on EF?

I think this might have something to do with it " MAY ONLY BE SOLD IN MALAYSIA"

So unless you know a travel agent in KL, a agent in SYD would not be able to help.

You might be able to "trick" the website geo location to be in Malaysia to get the fare ?
