Interesting issue....

So looking at booking MEL-LHR in F next year as an AAward.

EF and AA show availability on QF9 (and QF1 out of interest).

I select QF9 ex-MEL, click continue, the gremlins think for a while - then come back with "The flight you selected is no longer available". Now the option list no longer has QF9 available (but I can select and book QF1).

So I put QF1 on hold and call AA seeing if they can change it manually to QF9 for me.

EF showing 2 F award seats (P) available. AA tries - then comes back and advises that it's 'not available'.

Weird huh..??

Seems to be a booking glitch on the QF/AA interface I'm guessing.

FWIW - I was able to put QF9 on hold last week successfully.

I am far from an expert on this sorry and others are more likely to be of help. My question is: when next year?

Because if it is at the limits of forward bookings QF load their flights before AA

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

It's well within the 330 day availability.

Hence visibility on EF.

It did work last week (for the same dates). And ex-SYD still works.

Weird.....

Quickest thing to do would be to call AA tomorrow morning - 2 x F Awards = Xmas :)

Try a different browser/computer perhaps.

I had a problem with the website recently not accepting my ANZ debit card and throwing up errors to well the website team. Did so, spent 15 minutes with them before they accepted there was a genuine error somewhere, put a note on my booking (I'd managed to put it on hold as I didn't want to lose my F seat!) to waive the booking/phone fee. I then had to ring the Australian AA number to then pay! :/

Don't think it's computer related as the AAdvantage Desk had the same issue.
