Hello

I'm flying to Singapore on QF81 this Sunday 1st November. When I booked it said it was the new Business Class A330-300. Now when I check Seatguru it's still the old Skybed 1 which is cough. My Qantas app still says it should be the new one.

Can any one tell me whether I'll be flying on the new Qantas Business Class Suite?

I really appreciate your help

James

Expert Flyer showing new config for your flight. But as always subject to change.

I'd take what your seatmap on the QF MMB says over seat guru

Ok cool Based on economy seating how would I know? If I called qantas would they know?

Qantas might know if you called them, but the easiest giveaway is the Business class seating configuration. New config has 1-2-1 seating while old configuration is 2-2-2.

FWIW, Expert Flyer is currently showing QF81 on Sunday as being a new configuration A330-200. It's also showing as the J cabin being full.

So knowing that NOT ALL a333/2s have been refitted... as you cant view the seat map BEFORE the booking is made... (if you really cared you would do your research...there's plenty of info on here and many other sites)..you still book a flight with the (your words) cough SB1.. Then you have a whinge if you don't get the new suite.. and no doubt you will whinge to every QF employee along the checkin/flight/ process/journey...ZERO sympathy or care factor from me

Thanks for all your replies.

I should have clarified that I am actually flying economy and have put in for an upgrade.

My question was in the context of possibly flying the new business suite because of the upgrade.

I have since discovered that this is fact unlikely anyways

Thanks for all your help.

This is a downside for those playing the Qantas international upgrade lottery - less seats in business and therefore less seats
for those who want to upgrade with points.

Note I flew this config 1-2-1 back from Singapore last month and
to be honest wasn't that impressed - I had 2 children with me
and it's not possible to walk through the middle anymore - it's like the Cathay Pacific business seat.

lucky that kids still light enough to lift
up and across the dividing part in middle
- we had 1 on left and 2 seats in middle
bit.
