Is Emirates running out of sky?

Interesting read. I think reducing aircraft type to just 777/A380 should help reduce cost.

Quite an article ... but rather one-sided in theme.

Credibility is lost with this quote:
“When you look at the fact that no U.S. carrier flies to the Gulf region ...” asks Ed Bastian, Delta’s current CEO
... when no attempt is made to refute that incorrect statement.

AA at the very least flies to/from AUH.

In the context it was made, why should the article add an edit to correct it?

It was a direct quote of someone and the context it was made was not intended to frame it as correct or otherwise - only simply to state it. We know it is incorrect, so if anything it reinforces the credentials (or lack thereof) of the person who said it, or at least the desperation of their agenda.

An interesting article. Some of the sentiments discussed are certainly not new, though perhaps updated for some new events.

It's interesting how EK wrests quite a bit of limelight when it comes to the ME3 airlines. I guess it must be Tim Clark, and the fact that EK is seemingly seen as the ME pioneer that lead the charge of the region.
