I have a 2hr 5min connection at MUC in late November; Aer Lingus to SIA, so no possibility of checking the bags straight through.
Normally I'm happy to do a 2hr connection but have never been to MUC - can anyone offer any info please?

And thanks in advance for the sage advice about 2 hr connections in general, from those who haven't been to MUC but have missed flights elsewhere ;)

I connected from an Air Dolomiti flight VCE-MUC onto SQ MUC-SIN however I had hand luggage only. Airside transfer via bus to Terminal 2 took 15mins max. Find out which gate your SQ flight departs from in T2. Gates K-L are the new satellite terminal which is reached via an automated shuttle train a la Changi. Takes 2-3mins. I preferred the T2 LH lounge over the LH lounge in the satellite terminal (I had time to check both out- 3 hrs connection time.)

Thanks Kaiser, so much. All the info I need!
That's why I love AFF -

If you have checked bags and have to clear immigration, collect and recheck, MUC is one of the few airports where this would still be possible... IF your incoming flight is on time. Having recently moved from Sydney to Europe I've got to understand that flights are much more regularly delayed due to weather and congestion in Europe than what we're used to in Australia. Germany (I generally travel on LH) can be particularly prone to weather delays. If you can do hand luggage only it's no stress, with checked luggage I'd do it at your own risk :)

Thanks also, v3
Gotta take hold luggage.
I could ask Mrs D to do Europe on 7kg but don't think that would be too well received.........

It's suprisingly easy once you get some quality travel specific clothing (hint: merino wool) and pack efficiently. Not to mention it's such a relief to not worry about checking in or collecting bags. Also makes public transport a breeze when you don't have to go up and don't stairs, onto trains etc with heavy luggage. We've been doing hand luggage only for a few years now and still think we bring too much with us, and half of my weight allowance is camera gear. The only downside is we need to do laundry every 5 days or so but the trade off is worth it.

I would do the hand luggage thing in a flash. Not so easy convincing my dear lady.
Slightly OT, but I am constantly amazed at the MASSIVE size of hand luggage on nearly every LCC in Europe - Ryanair included!
