Hi all,

Myself and Mrs BD are going to Thailand in November and have just been advised by QF that there's been a slight adjustment on flight schedules.

This has left a 70min gap ( Previously 1.75 Hrs ) between our Jetstar Asia (3K) flight landing at Changi and our QF departing.

Questions -

Do Jetstar Asia and QF interline? Tickets are all QF flight numbers.

If not, do we think that's enough time? If so I think it'll be OK, anyone disagree? Both flights are Terminal 1.

There is an earlier flight we can get ex Thailand (3K) which I imagine I can switch to at no cost to us, bearing in mind it was QF's change and it's actually the QF flight time that's changed, not 3K.

If both flights are on a QF booking number, then it should be OK. But check the Qantas website for any update to these arrangements.

Yes.

70min is fine in SIN (albeit not necessarily comfortable for some).

The biggest risk is 3K's on-time performance. Surprisingly, last time 3K was running late they proactively put me and others in forward rows to facilitate connections - but sitting in row 1 doesn't help much when the overhead is full and your bag is closer to row 10.

It shouldn't be difficult to switch to the earlier flight if you want/need to.

If they don't interline then go to the Qantas transfer desk in SIN and get them to manually transfer luggage to next flight. They can also issue your boarding pass.

Thanks all.

Earlier flight leaves us with 8Hrs in the terminal.

Would that be enough time for a really quick look around Singers, haven't been there for 30 years.

Depending on your arrival/departure times, 8 hours is plenty of time for a quick look around.
You will have to either take your HL with you or store it at the airport. From memory there is a bag storage facility on the lower level of the terminal ( someone else on here may be able to tell you exactly where ).
You of course will have to clear customs and immigration, but that generally is a quick process in Singapore. Ensure you have your boarding pass for the onward flight in hand before you leave the terminal as this will speed up getting back for your flight.
The airport also run a free (I think) tour around Singapore. From memory the tour is around 2-3 hours, but you need to have around 6 hours between flights. Not sure if you can get off the bus though. The airport website will tell you more about it than I can.
A lot has changed in 30 years. Be prepared for a lot of "that wasn't there before" moments!!
