Good Evening,

I was wondering if anyone knew if I could interline luggage from a QF International flight to a JQ International flight, these flights are booked on two separate PNRs.

Flying on QF 77 From Per-Sin and connecting to 3K687 with 2 hours connection time. I have a couple of options:

- If my bag interlines that would be great
- Or else if I collect my luggage whilst airside can I put the baggage on a transfer carousel or do I have to exit landside and recheck in luggage?
- Are there nice storage places for luggage whilst airside, so when I return from Kul-Sin a couple of days later I can collect my luggage and check into an EK flight to DXB?

Is there another/better solution?

Cheers!

Anyone? Gurus?

I have interlined bags from QF Dom to QF int to BA int via Melb and HKG all different PRN's and had no problems, well it took a little while to get it done and the check in guy didn't think he could do it. I could not from JQ Dom to QF Int and still dont understand why but again different PRN's. Sometimes it's the check in person but if you ask politely to try and do it, they may be able to and surprise themselves.

But as NM said, officially nope.

QF's policy is that they will only check baggage through on different tickets IF they are all OneWorld airlines. JQ is not a OneWorld airline.

Interestingly enough, on BKK(3K)SIN(QF)PER the BKK checkin agent ASKED me if I had a continuing flight. When I produced the eticket, he checked the bag through. I had more than 3 hours on connection so I wasn't too worried.

Also there are some discussions where the transfer desk for 3K has been willing to provide BP and "collect" the luggage.
I hope this will work as I am looking at about a 2 hour connection with PER-SIN-BKK. If all on time I can still go land side, if necessary.

Thank you everyone!

I'll keep my fingers crossed and hopefully the check in agent in Per can interline the luggage through to Kul!

Or else I gotta utilise baggage storage airside.

Not sure about the interline but if that cant be done, you can go to the transfer desk C at SIN to get your baggage rerouted airside.

I had to convince the lovely agent in NRT on Wednesday that she could/should check our luggage all the way to BNE - we had NRT-HKG-SYD-BNE. Three separate PNR's with the BNE sector QF19......it took about 10mins to convince her it was ok.

I had to stop her from sending the first bag down the belt.....got it just before it was about to disappear.

QF19 is a brilliant way to transit from SYD - Flounge & Skybed MK1 seats:D:D:D

I don't know why he would think he couldn't do it as despite all flights being in separate pnrs, all airlines are members of One World.

JQ domestic do not even check through to other JQ dom flights or JQi flights so they definitely don't to QF dom or intl flights.

They may do it ex Asia 3K to QF but I don't think it'll happen ex Aust QF to 3K.
