Came across a travel booking site on my facebook feed today called "I only fly first class."
This is a business. Apparently what they do is buy FF/Miles for peanuts and use them to book you insanely cheap First and Business fares. I have just been reading the reviews posted on their facebook page and they seem very inconsistent.

Has anybody ever heard of or dealt with this this mob?

Smells scammy to me!

They may be legit but certainly can't be so if using QFF or Velocity points as it would contavene the T&C's of those programs.

It's cheaper to do it yourself

I've seen them advertised online through some of the FF pages. I've clicked in, and after a bit of fishing around found I wasn't comfortable with what was on offer. I wouldn't touch it.

Does anyone actually know what price "wholesale Frequent Flyer Points" are bought from airlines for? Are there tiers depending on purchase quantities. I've often wondered about these brokers and immediately steered clear when told that you can't earn points or SC's. Obviously using FF points which is a clear violation of T's&C's.

In general they aren't buying from the airlines wholesale.

Usually buying points or buying you a ticket in contravention of program rules (generally family only) of Qantas or Virgin which puts you at risk of ticket cancellation

This issue has been discussed in previous AFF threads.

Stay well clear I would say to you.

About 8 years ago my friend told me about Alpha flight guru which had got him cheaper flights to Europe.
There wasn't much about how it worked so I got 3 business class flights to Europe in Singapore business and paid for the other for the family.
Apart from the service on the telephone not really paying attention to my needs it seemed fine.
Then about a month before we were supposed to fly my friend was turned away from his flight on Virgin?united? as his ticket wasn't legit.
They got him on another flight 24 hours later.
He looked into how it worked and I felt sick.
I phoned AFG and they were confident there would be no issues and the flights were fine but the stress wasn't worth it.
If we'd been turned away because I was trying to save about $2G a ticket it would have been messy with the wife in meltdown.

For solo flying it may help save a few bucks but its not worth it to me

It does make you wonder when you see websites like this. They claim that all of this is legal. Well that may be true, but only because there are no statutory laws that specifically prohibit this. That doesn't mean you're not breaking the airline T&Cs - you still risk having your ticket cancelled and getting sued by the airline.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements

The really irritating thing about this is that airlines are now quite happy to directly sell you extra points for around 4 cents each, which makes it close to a zero sum game for the customer, but they happily sell them to the supermarkets, hire car firms etc for less than half that.
